Virtual Group Competition
2020/21 has been extraordinary time for everyone. For sure, there has been lots of worry, but there has also been reason to smile. We’ve seen how you have shared messages of encouragement and support during lockdown and were really touched that you asked about the GBDO as soon as school reopening was announced. As a result, we have thought hard about how to safely make it happen for you this year, and this is the result.
Whilst we may have to wait a while longer to get together again, we’d love to keep everyone dancing and will run our annual competition albeit in a slightly different format. Following the success of the solo competition, we are running a summer virtual competition for groups.
Most of our 'usual' rules will be the same. The performance should be no longer than 3m30s and your group should feature at least 2 pupils (no maximum). Schools are welcome to enter a maximum of 5 pieces - but individual pupils can feature in a maximum of 2 dances.
