Step into Dance

​Step into Dance, a partnership between the Jack Petchey Foundation and the Royal Academy of Dance, is the UK's largest fully inclusive secondary school dance programme, providing extra-curricular classes and performance opportunities to 200 mainstream and SEN schools per year across London and Essex. Since its creation in 2007, the programme has provided high-quality dance education to over 22,000 young people.

The Jack Petchey Foundation
Established in 1999, the Foundation gives grants to programmes and projects that benefit young people in London and Essex. The major focus of their work is the Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme operating in almost 2,000 schools and youth organisations. Other major programmes include a focus on public speaking, youth arts, sports and personal development.

The Royal Academy of Dance
The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) is the world's leading dance education provider. It promotes the understanding and practice of dance by training teachers and students, and by providing examinations to reward achievement. The RAD have approximately 14,000 members in 85 countries, of which over 8,000 are registered teachers.
